2021 Nissan Altima
$24,350 | U.S. News Overall Score: 7.9/10
There are several midsize sedans, including the 2021 Nissan Altima, 2021 Toyota Camry, and 2021 Honda Accord, that come standard with long lists of standard safety and driver-assistance technologies. Nissan takes it a step further, though, with their available ProPilot Assist.
ProPilot Assist is a hands-on partially automated driving system that reduces driver fatigue by managing acceleration, braking, and steering on the highway. Nissan also offers rear automatic braking and a surround-view camera system on the 2021 Altima. Neither technology is common in the class.
Unlike most class rivals, however, Nissan forces you to upgrade from the base trim to get common technologies, such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support. A 7-inch touch-screen infotainment screen comes standard, with an 8-inch display available.
The Altima earns a mid-pack spot in our midsize car ranking.
