You need to be completely focused, concentrated, and accurate all the time. While you don’t need formal training to become a proofreader, you usually need to show your grammar skills and attention to detail to get a job.
The pay can be based on how fast and accurate you are as a proofreader, but achieving both speed and accuracy without making mistakes is quite difficult.
